I had heard along the way that the Lego Land store was expanding to twice its current size but I dont remember hearing what the schedule was for that and if the store would be closed while they expanded.

I am headed to see the world's richest mouse in late april with a Lego crazed 9 yr old in tow.
If I tell him about the store he will have as much fun anticipating visiting that as Epcot. :cloud9:
But I dont want to say anything if it will be closed when we show up.

Anybody in the know on this one?

It's been done and open for a few months. Enjoy it!

Hoo boy, ain't that the truth! OUCH!
Yeah, the store is now open and waiting for your son to lose his mind in! I know mine will just go bizzerk when he sees the new store as well!

If your 9 yr old is "Lego crazed" as you say, you might want to consider visiting the LegoLand theme park in Winter Haven. It's about 45 minute drive from WDW. It's brand new, just opened and sounds like its a lot of fun. Haven't been there myself but I've read good things about it.

It's on the Marketplace side of Downtown Disney. My not so little guy (boyfriend in his thirties) enjoyed the Lego store on our last trip. He rediscovered his childhood love (and we came home with legos.

Yeah, it's between Once Upon a Toy and T-Rex Cafe.

I wouldn't call it Legoland store anymore. An actual Legoland just opened up in central Florida last fall.

Hi there.
So you're saying that Lego Land isn't worth paying a visit?
Such a pity. I thought it's gonna be fun.:number1:
