Just curious-- if you purchase the tickets to attend Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, do you need to have park hopper or day passes for that day as well? I see that an "additional ticket" is required, but does this mean you need a day ticket AND the MVMCP ticket, too?

Thanks!

You will only need a park pass if you want to go to one of the other parks during the day. The party starts at 7 (previously you could enter MK for the party at 4, not sure if that is still the case), so to get into MVMCP at 7 you just need your party pass.

When we have party passes, we typically use that day as a non park day, and enjoy Downtown Disney or find some other fun activity. That way we are rested and ready for a late night of fun in MK!

If you are only going to the MVMCP that particular day, you only need to purchase that event ticket which begins at 7 pm at the MK. Typically, they will let you enter the MK park at 4 pm with your event ticket. They will put a wrist band on you and you can begin to enjoy the park. At 7 pm, those without the wristband are escorted to the exit. They check your wristband often when entering the various rides beginning at 7pm.

They do make that sound a bit confusing. If your only park plans for the day are to attend the party, no other ticket except your party ticket is required. As noted, though the party is scheduled to begin at 7, Disney usually allows party-goers to enter the park on their party tickets around 4 in the afternoon.

So sorry if I was confusing. MVMCP is a separate event cost. You do not need your park hopper to enter MK with the MVMCP event ticket. However, if you want to attend other parks earlier that day, you will need your park hopper. I just understood that you were only going to the MVMCP that particular day. The MVMCP ticket is all you need to enter the MK at 7pm (they will usually let you in at 4 pm.) As Dopey's Girl stated you could go to Downtown Disney that day or take advantage of the resort or play miniature golf before you go to the MVMCP that way you do not use one of your park hopper tickets that day. I hope that helps. Sorry for the confusion.
