Nov. 14, 1957 – Disney’s TV series aired the 6th episode of Zorro, “Zorro Saves a Friend” on ABC.
Nov. 14, 1958 – The Disney TV show aired episode 2 of “Texas John Slaughter: Ambush at Laredo.”
Nov. 14, 1961 – Walt Disney became a grandfather again with the birth of Diane & Ron Miller’s 5th child, The baby boy was named Walter Elias Disney Miller.
Nov. 14, 1961 – Actor D.B. Sweeney, the voice of Sitka in Disney’s 2003 “Brother Bear,” and the voice of Aladar inDisney’s 2000 “Dinosaur,” was born in Shoreham, N.Y.
Nov. 14, 1962 – The Disney film “In Search of the Castaway’s” had its premiere in London. (U.S. release was Dec. 19, 1962)
Nov. 14, 1962 – Actor Harland Williams, the voice of Carl in the 2007 “Meet the Robinsons,” was born in Toronto, Canada.
Nov. 14, 1964 – Actor Patrick Warburton, the voice of Alien Cop in the 2005 animated feature “Chicken Little,” was born in Paterson, N.J. His other Disney credits include “Sky High,” and “Kim Possible: The Secret Files.” (TV fans will recognize him as David Puddy from the hit series Seinfeld.)
Nov. 14, 1981 – Disney’s part-1 of the 2-part TV movie “A Disney Storybook” aired. (Part-1 featured Mickey and the Beanstock, Dumbo, Part-2 aired Nov. 21, 1981 and featured “Working for Peanuts.”)
Nov. 14, 1991 – At Disneyland, 251 new citizens from 61 countries were sworn-in as U.S. citizens as part of ceremonies in Town Square on Main Street USA, celebrating the 200th anniversary of the Bill of Rights.
Nov. 14, 1992 - The Annie Awards were handed out at ATAS Plaza Theatre in Los Angeles, Ca. Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” won Best Animated Feature. Among the 3 Winsor McCay Award winners was the late Les Clark, one of Walt’s “Nine Old Men.”
