Upgrading to AP

I have a 6 day unused ticket that I would like to upgrade to an AP. My two questions are: Is the only place I can do this at WDW? and If that is the case, how would I be able to obtain the AP discount for resort cost without the AP confirmation number?

I've never been asked to show my AP at resort check in. Not sure, but I think you may be able to upgrade your AP at your resort now. I'm sure someone else knows that answer for sure.

You don't need to have an annual pass in hand to book accommodations at an annual pass discount. The only requirement is that you have the annual pass at time of checkin.

Unused tickets can be upgraded at guest relations spots located at each of the parks and Downtown Disney.

faline is right. you can always make an ap rate reservation, you just need to have it at time of check in.
