Nov. 11, 1960 – Disneyland’s “Zorro Days,” featuring the cast of Disney’s popular ABC-TV series, returned to the park for the 5th and final time.
Nov. 11, 1962 – Actress Demi Moore, the voice of Esmeralda in Disney’s 1996 animated release “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” was born in Roswell, N.M.
Nov. 11, 1965 - Walt Disney announced the Florida Project.
Nov. 11, 1971 – Disney’s “Bedknobs and Broomsticks” opened at Radio City Music Hall in N.Y.C.
Nov. 11, 1971 – Actor David De Luise was born to actor/comedian Dom De Louise and actress Carol Arthur, in Burbank, Ca. He played Jerry Russo on the Disney Channel series “Wizards of Waverly Place.”
Nov. 11, 1988 – The Disney Channel Premiere TV movie “Good Old Boy” aired.
Nov. 11, 1988 – The Disney/Touchstone Picture film “Ernest Saves Christmas” was released in theaters.
Nov. 11, 1991 – The Disney film, “Billy Bathgate,” starring Dustin Hoffman, Nicole Kidman, Loren Dean, Bruce Willis, and Steven Hill, was released.
Nov. 11, 1991 – A new 90,000-square-foot convention center opened at WDW’s Contemporary Resort. The state-of-the-art center is connected by an enclosed second floor walkway to the original convention space in the main hotel.
Nov. 11, 1992 – The Disney film “Aladdin,” featuring the voice of Robin Williams and the song “Whole New World,” had its world premiere. (General release was Nov. 25, 1992)
