Dear Friends, My brother Victor has developed a rare brain tumor,Oligodendroglioma, and there is no known cure for it. Please send prayers for him. I know you will, as everyone,on Intercot is very kind and caring. He has nine children, they all love WDW. My sister-in-law Cindy and Victor have one child left to take to Disney. The youngest one, and they are hoping for a trip. Everything is uncertain, and his treatments start this week. Thank you in advance for all your prayers, Jean

I don't know if this will help, but I've been reading about the Gerson Method. Just thought I'd mention it on the off chance it may help.

Dear Friends, My best regards to all of you on Intercot. Plans for the Fundraiser is going really well. I have the Bridgewater, MA fire department and police department coming. Also, the good folks from St. Thomas Aquinas Church are attending. We have some good donations for raffle. I can't believe it, the fundraiser is in 34 days. Time flys. The food is ordered, the DJ in place, and donations are coming in. Everyone is very kind. I got to see my brother, his wife, and kids this weekend, they are getting along okay. And the big surprise is, Victor's dtr Kelly is coming home from Fort Hood, Texas. No one knows, cept, my intercot friends. I love you all, will keep you posted. Jean:mickey:

Victor is seeing a brain tumor specialist in Boston, MA. The tumor is shrinking, but not enough. The tumor wrapped itself around the base of his neck. He lost all his hair, so he shaved his head, now he needs to be wearing a cap or hat for warmth since we live in New England. The fund raiser for Victor is going well. I have gotten a lot of cooperation from the Bridgewater Police Dept, Fire Dept, Knights of Columbus,St. Thomas Aquanis Church, Bridgewater Little League, and the small local business people. Everyone has been amazing. The fund raiser is being held on what would have been our Dad's 102nd birthday Saturday, December 10th. I don't even know how to thank all these people, but Thank you notes are ready to be sent. The Brockton Enterprise is going to do a story as well. I had no idea so many people know my brother. Again, thank you friends for your kind words and prayers. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.......Love, Jean

I checked the Brockton Enterprise to see if the story was published yet, and they posted it on Friday, 25th. If you go to enterprise.com and search for "Victor brain tumor", the story comes up. Our Jean is featured in the story, as well as her brother, Victor. Their story is interesting to read, and there is a very cute picture of Victor and his wife, Cindy. It sounds like the entire community is pitching in to help Victor and his family.

I wish all the best to you and your family, Jean.

Thank you all for checking out the story in The Brockton Enterprise on Victor and Cindy. I did not know that they were going to publish the article on Friday November 25th. The Patriot Ledger of Quincy also did a small piece on it too. When I read the headlines, (I'm so stupid) I didn't realize it was about me and my brother. It's a very long story of how we met the first time, and how we got together the second time in 2001, and it should be a book then a movie. Our Dad led a very interesting life for sure. He had a heart as a big as Texas, and Victor and I share the same ideals even though we were not raised in the same household. We have the same sayings, and think alike, it's really weird. Guess it's in the blood. His treatment's are going well, but the best part is, he is in excellent spirits, I said to him "I would move heaven and earth for you," and he said, "Don't do that, I'd get lost..." He's very funny......Okay onto the fund raiser.....You can check it out on facebook if you like Jean Marchetti Liben.......More info to follow.......Again, thank you everyone, your the best.......:mickey:

Victor O'Leary's fund raiser is this upcoming Saturday, December 10th in Bridgewater, MA at the Knights of Columbus, on Bedford Street, behind the National Guard on Rte. 18. We are hoping for good weather and a good turnout. A lot of time, energy, and effort has gone into the planning. Our local newspapers, and WATD fm in Marshfield, MA 959 on the world wide web has been a tremendous help to us. So far one hundred hand written thank you notes have been sent out. We have received some beautiful letters even as far away as the state of Texas. Everyone has been amazing with their good thoughts and prayers for my brother Victor. I want to thank each and every one of you on Intercot for your care and concern. The medical treatments are going well enough that Victor can maintain life everyday. He just can't drive or go to work. But, he can help around the house and that makes him feel good. God Bless all my friends on Intercot.....I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas season with your families.......:mickey:

The fundraiser for my brother Victor went better than expected. I had a lot of help, thank goodness. Over four hundred people showed up. We had fifteen tables full for raffles, eight tables for food, and we nearly ran out of food. We sold nearly 4,000 raffle tickets. The Red Sox table was a huge success. The best was when PFC Kelly O'Leary stepped out and presented her Mom with roses and gave her Dad and Mom a big hug and kiss. The whole day was amazing. Last Tuesday, December 13th was his last treatment for kemo, in January he goes for an MRI to see if the tumor has shrunk. Victor still isn't feeling up to par, but seeing his daughter Kelly gave him a big boost. I want to thank the Intercot family for all your kind words, prayers, and good thoughts. Have a Merry Christmas with your family and a Happy New Year. Love, Jean

On January 10th, he goes for his MRI, the doctors want to see how much shrinkage there is on the tumor. The family had a nice Christmas together, but Kelly had to report back to Fort Hood Texas, so she wasn't there. Her first Christmas away from home. The fund raiser has helped them to fix up their van so Victor can get to his treatments, pay for the medicine he needs, which is so expensive, travel expenses, and all the kids had a wonderful Christmas together. That is the latest, if you go into the Saint Thomas Aquinas Church (google) and click on bulletin, you will see the Note of Thanks I wrote to the parisihioners with Kelly and Victor's picture in it. It is dated December 18th. Then on December 31st, the Brockton Enterprise is going to publish a Note of thanks for all the businesses that helped me. Again, thank you all for your prayers and encouragement, there is always hope. Love, Jean
