42 inches.

To ride alone, however, the height requirement is 54 inches. Also, kids must be at least 7 years old to ride alone. Otherwise, they must ride with someone 14 or older.

so if my daughter is 6 and 41 inches she could ride with me or my husband, but she could NOT ride with her 44 inch 8 year old sister?

BOTH kids would need to ride with an adult...

What about my son who is 3.5 and is 38 inches? Can he ride with one of the parents?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the way I read it, neither could ride at all. :(

The DCL website states:

It was designed for adults and children at least 42" or taller. Single riders must be at least 54" or taller. Children under 7 must ride with someone 14 years of age or older, provided the child is at least 42" tall.

If the 6 year old gains an inch prior to the cruise, she could ride with a parent, but the 3.5 y/o would appear to be totally out of luck. :(
