POR refurbed rooms [Archive]

Has anyone stayed at POR and had one of the newly done rooms? ARe the beds nice, and are they newer looking in the room? Any other difference.

We did in Sept. The room was very nice.

Is this POR Riverside or French Quarters? We are staying at Riverside in February for the first time. We called about AP discounts and they said they would upgrade us to a garden view for free. They look nice!

We stayed at Riverside on our trip in Sept. but had also stayed at FQ in June in a refurbished room and that was just as nice.

I had a renovated room at POR in Acadian House the last week of September. King room. I thought the bed was on the firm side but fine. The room was nice, clean, nothing really to write home about.

We were in building 28 (Alligator Bayou section) in late September. Our room was not recently refurbished. If I understand correctly, the new beds will include a fold-out as opposed to the trundle bed (for the 5th person)? We did have a very nice flat screen TV with easy access to the rear (for adding other devices).
