On-Line Check In??

I've experienced low crowds in Sept and have already read recent trip reports confirming this too, so my question is...

Is on-line check in really necessary if crowd levels are low?

Are there any true tangible benefits to this?

We are staying at the WL and my only thoughts were that I am afraid that we might miss some level of service/attention for not going through the regular checkin line.

I apologize for starting this thread again, but I'm not having much luck with searching threads.

Just did online check-in for WL. We did the same last year and check in was a breeze. Our packet was ready and we pretty much just had to pick it up - no lines.

A few years ago we stayed at Caribbean Beach and that was the worst check in we ever experienced. The lines were ridiculous - I don't believe they had online check in at that time.
