We always arrive late morning from the airport, so we hit Animal Kingdom first since it only takes us half a day to visit this park. So we hit Everest first.

It's almost always Space Mountain, wether it be Disneyland or Disney World, but for my upcoming trip it won't be, as I'm working my theme park visits in around something else, and EPCOT will be my first park as it's the one open for EMH on the first night.

When it was just my wife and I, it use to be It's Tough To Be A Bug. We'd catch an early flight from Pittsburgh, hop in a rental, check in (pre-register), get to the bus station and go to Animal Kingdom. After lunch at the Rainforest Cafe, we'd go straight for ITTBAB.

Since we've had children, that has changed. This year, we will go to Epcot after check-in so Spaceship Earth will be our first ride. It will also be my DS17mos' first Disney Ride EVER!

I'm usually in the situation where I'm showing people the parks for the their first visit - in these cases I always have a similar itenerary for each park....not necessarily romantic choices but practical for a good fastpass-lead structure:

Epcot: Living with the Land (having got a fastpass for Soarin)
MK: Snow White's Scary Adventures followed by Carousel - however old the guests they need to be started with a bit of Fantasyland magic.
Studios: Great Movie Ride (having fastpassed TSM)
AK: Tough to Be a Bug (having fastpassed KS)

When I'm on my own I always begin by sitting downs somewhere quiet and people-watching and just enjoying the fact that I'm there.

Since we try and hit MK first, Jungle Cruise and Pirates.

If Epcot, TestTrack or Spaceship though we get the Soarin FastPass first.
MGM, Star Tours
AK- Then we have to do the Safari.

We don't have one that we do first. We go to a different park each time too depending on what time we get there and what time the parks close. :mickey:

Our tradition was we always went to the MVMCP when we arrived and headed straight to Fantasyland. Normally we would ride Dumbo or go to Peter Pan. We were lucky enough to get to go 10 years in a row with family when the girls were younger.

i try really hard for it to be Space Mountain, but if I have to fastpass it, then the TTA is my first ride. It's nice to be able to sit back and take it all in when just getting back home.

Since we usually arrive about noon, we head to AK for an easy day. If we do that, it is most likely the "circle boat ride". DD loves getting wet and no place more fun to do it than on Kali River Rapids. I don't care about walking around wet. I dry off fairly quickly and it is fun to see people's faces when they see you soaked.

My first ride always seems to be the Jungle Cruise. Since my first day is when I arrive, I head straight to Magic Kingdom to get immersed in the World. It is just a tradition I have set for myself. This is the first trip I will have that I won't be able to eat at the castle for my first meal back. I hope it doesn't jinx my trip.

MK is usually our first park. Depending on crowds and time of day, we start with either Jungle Cruise, Haunted Mansion,(my fave),or Pirates.
In Epcot, in the good old days, it used to be FIGMENT, before they screwed it up.

My first trip was Xmas day 1971, and my parents, sister & I were completly caught up in the Magic. :cloud9: We strolled down Main Street, thru the castle, and into Fantasyland.

Being totally clueless as to where to go or what to do, we turned left & found ourselves in front of IASW. We noticed it had no line to speak of, so we decided to ride.

It's been my tradition to always make that ride my very first for each trip. My parents saved a long time to take us there for that trip & I honor their memory by riding it first each trip. Besides, it brings back some wonderful memories of happier, simpler times in my life. :mickey:

The only time I missed this was when it was down for refurb a few years ago. :(

Since we usually go counter-clockwise, it is Buzz Lightyear first (avoid Stitch like the plague). Save Monsters and COP for another day, then Space Mountain.

I think next time we'll be wild and crazy and go clockwise. Not sure where we'd stop first.

Usually the People Mover - or TTA - for us. After a long drive, getting checked in, and bus ride to MK - it is nice to stroll to the TTA, sit down, and relax in the park without having to stand in line. We just soak in the magic for a few minutes and plan our next move. :D

I have younger kids - so it's usually fast past Peter Pan, then ride Small World (and sometimes Philharmagic also - depending on the time for Pan). But it's always straight to Fantasyland.
