Military discount question

Curious if anyone knows a loophole. I don't want to be dishonest, so if this isnt kosher let me know. Can my friend, a military member, make a "gift" reservation for someone and get the discount? Me, of course, being the giftee. :secret: And I would simply pay my friend the gifter.

the person in the millitary has to be there at time of check in to present their millitary id. sorry
