We are going the very first week of November, which is the week that the food is FREE. We obviously took that opportunity, because it saves us at least $1000. Snacks are free also as long as they are $3.99 or under. We were wondering if any Goofy's Candy Co. items or any food items you can buy in the giftshops (i.e. Chip and Dale Cheese Crackers) count as snacks?

Well, food isn't really "free" since you pay full rack rate for the room (though it's still a good discount if you're at the value or moderate resort) and keep in mind that you only get 1 snack credit per day per person on the dining plan.

As for your question, though, yes, there are items in the Goofy Candy Store that count as a snack credit. Lots of items, actually. The key is to look next to each item for the DDP symbol. Price isn't always the marker so you can't just go with "everything under $3.99". Look for that DDP symbol and you'll know you're good to go. That applies to anywhere - giftshops, Candy Store, DTD, kiosks, etc. There are lots of places to use your snack credit.

Have fun!

Thank you for clearing that up! Our family loves Goofy's Candy Co. and were hoping that we could use the DDP for that. It will also be very helpful with the DDP signs!

you would be surprised how many things you can get for your snacks. you can have all your snacks in the same day if you want.
