I've been trying to call and book the AP rate since 9:00 a.m. central time, but keep getting a message that all circuits are busy. Is this normal for when new discounts are released, or does anyone think there's something wrong with Disney's phone system? :confused:

No, nothing wrong with phones. We have been on since 7am with them and it is just really busy.

But, I was able to save $120 on our 3 day fast trip to Pop Century in October.

Wendy @ Magical Journeys took care of my December vacation and saved me over 1000 dollars - enough for airfare - without me even knowing the AP rates were released! :thumbsup:

That was an additional savings over our supposed "special" bounceback offer I booked directly with Disney while there in July.

Update: Called back today and was able to get 3 of my 5 nights changed over to AP so keep trying if your dates on not immediately available.

Just got off the phone with Disney and had our reservations changed to add the discount. We saved about $800.00 on our Christmas trip and it didn't take but about 15 minutes to make the switch! :cloud9:

What was the breakdown? Was it 30 % on all mods or are there breakdown exceptions? I may look at moving to a different resort ~ I am looking specifically on the % rates on POFQ & AKL?

Disney has gone to date specific pricing, so you have to actually price out the specific dates to see what the breakdown is.

Is it true that the passholder discount is not valid on Fri. and Sat. nights? At least that's what the representative was telling me regarding Dec. 9th and 10th.

No, it's not true. It may be more likely to be sold out on Friday and Saturday nights, but it's available. I just reserved it!

I have an odd sort of questions. Can I purchase an AP for just myself and get the room discount but book the room for my entire families vacation?

I could save a few hundred dollars that way for a short trip in October, celebrate a monumental birthday while staying at the Grand Floridian

If I understand you correctly then the answer is yes. Only one adult in a room has to have an AP to get the discount. Just hope that all the rooms available for the AP discount haven't been reserved already.

DH just used this discount to book the last night of our camping trip at BC. yay!!! I am so excited. The kids have NO idea! They will be so happy to end their trip with a day of trick or treating and hanging out by the pirate slide!

thanks, long time reader, finally decided to engage. wife and i are headed to bwv for food and wine in oct, family trip to bwv in dec, and now i will wait on ap rates for march so we can do a vb and bcv trip.
