We are planning a trip for 2012 and we are probably going to do the Mexican Rivera cruise in November or early December... then hit Disneyland for a couple of days!! Has anyone done this? We need your help! Never been to the west coast and we were curious if Disney provided transportation to and from Disneyland to the Port? I know they have transportation to and from the airport to the port... just need to figure out how to get from the ship to Disneyland... Thanks to Everyone!!:mickey::mickey:

We did this past March. From East Coast, we traveled the day before and stayed at a hotel by the airport using the hotel shuttle service. In the morning we shuttled back to the airport to board Disney bus to ship terminal. (Airline was late with our bags so this would have been a problem if not the day before) After the cruise we were taken by Disney bus to resort. Stayed at Paridise Pier. We stayed for three days to visit the two parks. Really enjoyed CA and the new World of Color show. Had to do my homework to figure out what we wanted to do to plan meals. We did the World of Color diner plan one night and thought it was worth it (Ariels). They have Magical Express for free to Disneyland from and to airport but we had to arrange transportation due to leaving at 4 am. It was about $49 total for three of us. Hope this helps.

For the past several years we always spent Christmas at WDW. Last year we got a great deal on the 11 day Christmas Cruise and tried that... we were hooked!

Now we are torn. Do we do WDW and free dining for Christmas this year (booked it) or do the Mexican Riviera cruise and a night with a couple of nights at Disneyland.

Not sure because have heard Disneyland does not compare to WDW in regards to friendliness, etc.

Any help would be appreciated because I am driving my hubbie nuts on which way to go and he wants to buy airline tickets.... which are almost as much as our flight to Los Angeles for the cruise!!!

Not sure I can help because of the concept of adding the cruise which we also love.
What I can tell you is that if you love WDW, Disneyland does not compare. Disneyland has some great attractions and differences that make it worth seeing but the walkways make it harder to get around and Main Street and the castle are strange in comparison to WDW. I do not know how great the Christmas celebrations would be at the parks in California. As a frequent visitor to WDW, I still find so much to do and enjoy and we really enjoyed being there last year at Christmas week. Whatever you do, make your plans as soon as possible so that you have your dining and celebrations schedules all set.
