How late do they usually run at night in 2nd week in December?

In general till midnight or 1 am.

Oh good... So really if you had a "later" dinner ressie at hotel (say, California Grill) you could hope on the DTD bus and then hop back onto a bus to your hotel (say, Boardwalk)

I really don't wanna pay for a taxi for each of our 9:30pm dinner ressies....

I'd check to see if any of the parks have evening extra magic hours. Travel to that park and transfer there. Otherwise, Downtown Disney is an option.
