Orlando/ Sanford Airport

Need to pick up a friend from the Orlando- Sanford International airport on a Saturday afternoon.

If anyone has experience using this airport, what is the best way of getting there from SSR, and how much time should I allow for the trip?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

It's about a 45 minute drive each way, so obviously you need to allow about 2 hours round trip. If you just go to Google Maps, you'll see that there are two ways to get there. You can just hop on I-4 and go north until you start seeing signs for the airport, or you can get of of I-4 onto highway 408/417, which will get you pretty close. That might be a toll road, though. We usually just stick to I-4.
