Getting to Downtown Disney from T&T

Hi Everyone,
This year, we are going on a cruise from New York to the Bahamas, and we are stopping in Orlando for part of a day. We can get a bus from the cruiseline to T&T. Since it is just a short trip, and we are going to WDW next year anyway, we just want to go to Downtown Disney for a few hours. What is the best way to get to DTD from T&T? I assume there is no direct bus...

I'm assuming that you won't be carting all of your luggage around with you (hopefully)!

You could walk over to the Poly (a very nice, short walk through the grounds), and then take the bus from there. You could also hop the resort monorail, and get the bus from one of resorts.
