question about renting car thru expedia or hotwire etc.

I can rent my car for september thru expedia or hotwire for around half the cost of the rental car website.

If I rent thru a third party like expedia can I still use the express rental options at the car rental place or will I be restricted?

It has been a long time since I rented a car through a 3rd party site, but at that time, I couldn't use the express options, and had to checkin and get my car at the counter.
