Finally ! A decent HD webcam (http://portcanaveralwebcam.com/)at Port Canaveral !

The only one I could find previously was from a fixed mount camera that sometimes worked and often didn't. This one pans, tilts, zooms in and out, and is in HiDef. The only question is - - who is operating it ?

Ed, that is so much better than the Raddison's webcam! I guess we have our fine friends at Fishlips to thank for this.

It's alot of fun there. You can sit outside and just watch the ships go by.

Fishlips is okay, but I much prefer Grills, about a quarter mile farther along the inlet.

Ed you are the BEST!! I love this! And the best part, I can watch it from my iPhone and iPad :woohoo:
This will definitely help hold me over & get me till I can see the real thing in person in January. :cloud9:

For those of us (yes, that includes me) who can't wait for the next cruise, this webcam occasionally posts video of ship departures like this one (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jp6UlWVdDbU&feature=youtu.be) on Facebook.

I have been trying to view the Disney Dream leaving port. About what time on Sunday or Thursday does it leave? (Central Time)

5pm Eastern, 4pm Central, 3pm Mountain, 2pm Pacific. Departures are occasionally delayed, but not very often.

This is cool! Who is in charge of operating it?

Haven't figured that out yet. The camera itself is mounted on Fishlips restaurant, but I doubt they control it. Most likely a computer geek at a desk in Topeka decides where to aim it.

I just wish they'd correct the constant blurry area across the top... on the present image of Dream, you can see the blurriness around the top of the ship's funnels.

They must read INTERCOT... this is posted on their Facebook page this morning:

The Port Canaveral Webcam will be offline for a short period of time today as we install our new HD camera. :) Stay tuned! (Lou)

Okay, so they intalled the new camera, and the blurry area across the top is gone.

Now the blurry area is right through the MIDDLE.
