The Walt Disney World resort has released preliminary brochures for the 2012 Disney Dining Plan:

Looks like they added the refillable mug to the DDP? If I'm reading that right.

No word on pricing I assume... Granted we all know it will go up, just wondering how much. Usually they have been raising the price, or taking something away. I can't imagine in my wildest dreams they will keep the price and plus the plan.

Looks like they added the refillable mug to the DDP? If I'm reading that right. Yes, a refillable mug has been added to the Standard plan for 2012. Also, the number of snacks (per person per night) on the Quick Service plan has been reduced from 2 to 1 for 2012.

No word on pricing I assume... Pricing will be released when they release the 2012 Magic Your Way packages.

Oof I wish pricing was included on these. I got excited and thought I could update my 2012 planning spreadsheet. Boo. :(

Found this (on another site) with the DDP pricing/changes....

Here's a run-down on the pricing for all dining plans:
Dining Plan (adult / child)
Quick Service Dining Plan $34.99 $11.99
Dining Plan $51.54 - $53.54 $15.02 - $16.02
Deluxe Dining Plan $85.52 - $89.52 $23.79 - $25.79
Premium Dining Plan $179.00 $129.00
Platinum Dining Plan $239.00 $170.00

I am going to assume that, since the new package pricing doesn't take effect until January, that the new refillable mug addition to the Standard DDP will not be in effect until that time, but it sure would be nice if it was implemented before our trip this September!! :D

Thanks for all of the info!!!

Wonder why they are getting rid of the 2nd snack with the QS meal option??? Wonder if people are just using them up on their last day stocking up to bring the snacks home.

We usually do use all of our snack credits, I will admit. Usually on a "treat" ice-cream or such, not on drinks or chips. I don't save them until the end. I can be pretty stingy with my kids about always having to buy them a treat when we are doing a day trip outing, but when we are in Disney on the DDP...I just let it all go!!

Prices are going up up and up. Our first trip in 2005 on the DDP I think it was $34.95 or $39.99 per adult.

I am disappointed by losing a snack on the QS plan! When we get a snack a lot of times we also get a drink with it using up two snacks. This is definitely another example of the price going up (if it does) and cutbacks being made. I've been ok with losing the free 5 x7 photo, no large candy bars on your way out of Mnsshp, possible shorter monorail running times after emh, but losing a snack credit just puts me over the edge! I love eating at wow

Any chance the dinning plan would be free for 8/12? When do the notify you if it becomes free?

I'm kind of confused ... Downtown Disney is only showing 2 places to eat on the DDP (one of our favorite places to eat is Wolfgang Puck Cafe - which isn't one of the two listed!) and AK isn't lising Yak & Yeti (another favorite!) ... please don't tell me these have been removed from the DDP!
