Just Booked April 2012

Just finished booking April 2012 - DVC last week and airline tickets today! I was really nervous about finding well-priced airfare and I did okay (not great, but better than I expected). Woo hoo - our first real school vacation trip with DS 8 and DD 6 next year!

Do you have tricks for finding good airfare for school vacations?

No tricks - you just need to keep looking. Since you've already purchased airfare, the best you can hope for is that you booked with a carrier that will provide you with credits if the airfare goes lower than what you bought it for. Be careful - though - even those that offer such credit banks have specific rules and time frames in which you need to use your credits.

I'm also already looking for airfare for April 2012 (4/14-4/21) but I have not been happy enough with what I have seen yet. From Boston they are still around 400/pp and I just think that 2000.00 is a ridiculous amount of money to spend. We drove this year and spent just over 500.00 for gas - big difference! I'll probably be really sorry I waited and we'll probably end up driving again but I'm taking my chances right now!

One year (2009) I found 200/pp on Father's Day of 2008. I'll be checking on that weekend again :)

From BOS, I was able to get 300 / pp and I was happy with that. It is Apr 21-28 though and what I anticipate will be a very busy time. They are already priced 350/pp only 24 hrs later.

300/pp is what I am looking for! I was thinking that your week is not school vacation week (ours is the 16-20th) but I bet a lot of NH families fly out of Boston. Have a great trip :mickey:

Can I ask what airline you found those prices on?
