My husband and I usually do a dinner alone at the California Grill one night of our vacation, but I am looking to do something different this trip.

Since we are staying at the Yacht Club, I think either the Yachtsman or Flying Fish would be nice since we can walk to either. We will not be doing the dining plan. We will be doing TIW.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

IMHO you can't go wrong with either of these two, but Yachtsman's Steakhouse is my very favorite signature.

I haven't tried Yachtsman, but I love Flying Fish. I think they are both great choices. Yachtsman, if you want the more steak-centric meal, traditional steakhouse experience. Flying Fish, if you want more creative cuisine and prefer fish (but they also have steak and other things, all very good).

They're both excellent. I am partial to Flying Fish though. I don't think you will be disappointed with either place.

Of the two, I'd choose Yachtsman without hesitation. Great food and atmosphere.

Thanks everyone. It is looking pretty even so far. Maybe I will try both!

We favor the Yachtsman. Only tried the Flying Fish once and I would have to say we didn't think it lived up to expectations on that particular visit.

Same here, however, we are giving FF another try in Oct.

If you're feeling really "old money," go to Yachtman. (Red meat)

If you want to feel young and hip, go to Flying Fish. (fish and fusion)

If you enjoy seafood, I say Flying Fish. I don't eat fish, but my seafood loving friends love eating there.
If you enjoy steaks, the Yachtsman. I love my beef, and it was very tasty here.

I've had excellent service at both places. The wait is longer at the Flying Fish though.
