May 23, 1983 – Tokyo Disneyland welcomed its 1-millionth guest.
May 23, 1983 – The Disney Syndicated TV Special for the release of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” aired.
May 23, 1983 – The newly remodeled and renamed “Snow White’s Scary Adventures” attraction opened in New Fantasyland at Disneyland.
May 23, 1986 – Disney’s 2-hour TV special “Disneyland’s Summer Vacation Party” aired on NBC.
May 23, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired the 22nd episode of MMC. “Today is Guest Day!” starring singer-actress Reba McEntire.
May 23, 1996 – Disney joins McDonald’s in a 10 year multinational marketing alliance linking McDonald’s Restaurants to Disney Theatrical releases, theme parks, and home video releases.
May 23, 1997 – The Disneyland Parade “Light Magic” debuted. (Ended Sept. 1, 1997)
May 23, 2001 – The Magic Carpets of Aladdin opened in Adventureland at WDW’s Magic Kingdom.
May 23, 2002 – It was reported that Home Depot and the Walt Disney Co. have agreed on a 3 year $100 million cross – platform deal. Part of the deal would include the development of the Disney Paint Program, a room decorating program featuring the creation of a line of Disney-brand Childrens Paint.
May 23, 2003 – Herman’s Hermits featuring Peter Noone performed at Epcot’s Flower Power Concert Series, and performed 3 shows a day over the Memorial Day weekend.
