May 19, 1986 – Actor Eric Lloyd, Charlie Calvin in all three of Disney’s “Santa Clause” movies, was born in Glendale, Ca. He also supplies the voice for Blanky in the 1998 “The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars” and the 1997 “The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue.”
May 19, 1987 – The Disney Channel Premiere Movie “Anne of Avoniea: The Continuing Story of Anne of Green Gables” aired.
May 19, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired episode 20 of MMC. “Today is Hall of Fame Day!”
May 19, 1990 – The Disney Channel’s Premiere TV movie “Mother Goose Rock’n’Rhyme” aired.
May 19, 1997 - IllumiNations 25 updated version opened at Epcot with the music replaced by new classical music.
May 19, 1998 – “The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars” (a film not created by Disney but released by Walt Disney Home Video) was released. Voice credits include veteran Thurl Ravenscroft, Farrah Faucett, and Carol Channing.
May 19, 2000 – Disney’s “Dinosaur”, starring D.B. Sweeney, Ossie Davis, and Julianna Margulies was released in theaters.
May 19, 2000 – Plans for Disney’s attractions Mission: Space were launched into space aboard Atlantis, Nasa’s International Space Station Shuttle Flight.
May 19, 2000 – The 1999-2000 Daytime Emmy Awards were presented at N.Y.C.’s Radio City Music Hall. The Award for Outstanding Children’s Series went to “Disney Presents: Bill Nye the Science Guy.” “Rolie Polie Olie” won for Outstanding Children’s Animated Program (special class.)
May 19, 2001 – Disney’s House of Mouse aired the episode “King Larry Swing In” on ABC-TV.
