Magic Kingdom
Citrico’s for Dinner
After changing, we head back out the door around 5:30 p.m. We have a 7:10 reservation at Citrico’s for dinner. We only wait a few minutes for a Magic Kingdom bus and we are on our way. Once at the Magic Kingdom, we head to the boat dock and arrive at the same time as a boat. On the boat, we have a brief conversation with a family who are quite sad to be ending their vacation. Turns out they are from Manchester, New Hampshire! We are quickly transported to the Grand Floridian on the boat. We walk to the main building and head upstairs where we stop in Mizner’s. We enjoy a pre-dinner drink while listening to the wonderful band play!
A short walk down the hall, we check in at the Citrico’s desk and a few minutes later are seated way at the back of the restaurant. Had never been in this area before but it has a lovely view over the water and we can watch the monorails slide by in the distance. Our waitress is named Victoria and I comment she is located in the wrong restaurant! We share a cheese appetizer (very good and I think the same as what they serve at Narcoosee’s) and a romaine salad (not much dressing – too dry). I have the beef fillet for my entrée and Gene has the swordfish. Before we know it, 2 hours has gone by and we are stuffed!
We take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom where we walk onto the waiting Animal Kingdom bus (We’re having a very good transportation day today)! We are quickly deposited back at Animal Kingdom where we find some things in the store we can’t live without. Back in our room, I sit down to type up these notes before heading off to bed. It’s now almost 11 p.m. and I’ve been up for about 20 hours – time for bed!!
