Transportation From MCO

We are leaving bright and early for our long awaited trip. My mom is considering flying in and meeting us there next week for a few days. She will probably stay off property. Anyone know an approximate cost for a taxi from MCO airport? Any recommendations on a shuttle service that would be comparable in price? Thanks!

We used Mears before they had Magical Express.

A taxi is going to be $50-$60. Quicksilver (towncar) is $60-$70.

Many off-site hotels have a shuttle option, so it might be worth checking with the hotel directly.

Many off-site hotels have a shuttle option, so it might be worth checking with the hotel directly.To my knowledge, the only hotels with airport shuttles are the ones pretty close to the airport. I'm not aware of any hotels convenient to any of the various Orlando-area theme parks that have a free airport shuttle, except of course the Disney owned-and-operated resorts.

She might want to factor in the cost of transportation to and from the airport when deciding whether or not to stay on property it may pay to stay on property and get to use the Magical Express.
