Didn't even realize this includes a photobook until after ressie was made.

That is a nice bonus! We prepaid for a photobook last year and the quality of the book is top notch. Far and away the best quality photobook we own.

Come on Sepetember!

It says this offer is through 9/24. Does that include the night of the 24th? If I left Disney on the 25th, would I be able to use the dining plan credits on the 24th/25th?

As long as your arrival date is before the 24th the offer is good for the days following.

Our reservations have been made since February, but have been waiting for this Free Dining offer to show up!
We will now upgrade our ressies to this offer. Traveling with our 5 year grandson, I think the Counter Service will be better for us and our picky eater or would you upgrade to the Basic. We just hate for our vacation to be controlled by dining reservations. We did that last trip and ate way tooo much, but it was gooood?
What would ya'll do??? :eat:

Thanks All!

If you plan to do at least one sit down meal a day, I would go with the Basic Dining. Basic is the same price as Quick for a 5 year old and it is only $11 more a night per adult.

Though if you already are getting a discount and staying at a Deluxe Resort, this discount is not worth it?

You have to price out each discount as it comes to be certain.

If you are only a party of 2, staying at a deluxe and have a 40% off room discount, that savings will be greater than free dining.

It all depends on resort choice, party size and party ages.

I did book this offer, and it was not exactly the same price as if we booked without the dining, so I'm not sure if it is free, or discounted! We priced out a value resort for two adults, 6 nights, 7 day base ticket and it was without the special offer, and it was $1,127.30. When I priced the special offer package, it was $1,218.20. Maybe the difference is the special memories book you get? I won't complain because it's still a good deal, and I did upgrade to the Dining rather than the quick service, but in years past, I would price with and without the free dining and it always ended up the same cost. The book sounds pretty nice and I'm sure we will be thrilled with it when we get it.

The difference is definitely the photo book. It is $90.90.

We changed our reservation to grab this Free Dining.:mickey:

We were booked at All Star Music, May 22-28 with PIN code. Definitely worth the wait to save $$$, to be at Pop:thumbsup:, stay 10 nights instead of 6, and Free Dining with CS dining upgrade to Basic dining.

LOL, it put our countdown back to 4 months from 2+ weeks, but worth it to stay longer and save $$$. And, I'm still taking the week off and we're going to the Coast for a few days:cloud9:

I caught the charge for the "free" photopass album too, LOL.

Our family reunion has been moved to Sept for the free dining. Although it doesn't help us passholders, it saved other family members $$$. :mickey:

We had already booked, ten days in Sept, at POR-we booked in Feb to get the room discounts, then we saw the Free Dining offer, so I went online, and priced the same trip, I was curious to see if there would be any difference in pricing ( thinking the room dicount may be better than free dining ), turns out, there is a cost difference. We booked through Disney directly, and called to see if there would be any difference to our original reservations. They said YES, and SAVED about $130 !!! On our original package!

I wasn't planning a Disney trip this year, but may have to have a Daddy/Daughter trip in late Sept. Trying to find a way to swing the cost of the trip. Maybe it will be my MBA graduation present to myself and my daughter. Should be complete by that last week in Sept.

Not all is lost. When the passholders get ready to renew their passes, they can apply the package ticket to the renewal!

Or, upgrade the package ticket to an AP.

We are planning a trip to Disney in December. I know they havent released any specials for that time frame yet but traditionally do they offer a free dining plan discount for early december? I am hoping so because it would really help out our budget. And about when would early december discount offers be released?

Thanks

Traditionally, free dining is a September thing.

Have they run it at other times of the year incudling December? Yes

Have they done different promotions in December? Yes

Do we know yet what is coming? No

Have they been following historic trends this year? No

Historically, December discounts were released in mid August.

You can see some of the historic discounts here http://intercot.com/infocentral/discounts/historicdiscounts.asp

Hope that helps!
