Apr. 27, 1989 – The Disney Channel aired the 4th episode of MMC “Today is Party Day!”
Apr. 27, 1990 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Space Invaders” was released.
Apr. 27, 1992 – “American Express Travelport” located in Epcot’s Communicore West, closed at WDW.
Apr. 27, 1998 - Family PC reopened after it was moved back to its original location.
Apr. 27, 1999 – At the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers 14th Annual Film and Television Awards, songwriters Matthew Wilders and David Zippel won for their work on Disney’s “Mulan”.
Apr. 27, 2001 – Disneyland’s Rocket Rods in Tomorrowland closed.
Apr. 27, 2001 – The Lizzie McGuire episode “I Do, I Don’t” aired on the Disney Channel.
Apr. 27, 2002 – Disney’s stage production of “The Lion King” kicked off its first national tour in Denver, Co.
Apr. 27, 2003 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired “Eloise at the Plaza.”
Apr. 27, 2004 – The US Civil Engineering Research Foundation announced the addition of Dr. Ben Schwegler Jr., vice president and chief scientist of Walt Disney Imagineering, to its board of directors. (Schwegler has been involved in nearly all of Disney’s construction projects over the past 21 years and currently directs the environment, materials and infrastructure group for the theme park operator.)
