Apr. 25, 1995 – Angel Florez, a member of the 1977 – 1978 TV show “The New Mouseketeers”, passed away.
Apr. 25, 1997 – The Disney film “Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion” was released.
Apr. 25, 1998 - Family PC closed at Innoventions East to be moved back to its original location.
Apr. 25, 2000 – The “Lion King” stage musical opened at the Princess of Wales Theater in Toronto, Canada.
Apr. 25, 2000 – The ASCAP Film and Television Awards were announced at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles, Ca. Among the winners for Most Performed songs from Motion Pictures was “You’ll Be In My Heart,” written by Phil Collins from “Tarzan.” Among the winners for Top Box Office Films were “Toy Story 2,” “Tarzan,” and “Inspector Gadget.”
Apr. 25, 2003 – The 10th Annual “International Flower & Garden Festival” began in Epcot at WDW. (Ran through June 8th)
Apr. 25, 2003 – Disney’s Buena Vista International/MGM film “It Runs in the Family” was released in U.S. theaters.
Apr. 25, 2004 – Disney’s ABC Family Original Movie “Brave New Girl” aired for the first time.
Apr. 25, 2005 – Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Elephant Care Team were deeply saddened when 26-year-old first time mother Ibala went into labor and the calf passed away due to complications.
Apr. 25, 2006 – The Buckinghams performed the first of a 3-day engagement at Epcot as part of the Flower Power Concert Series.
