Staying at Beach Club CL in May. The kids and my fiancee are bringing 3 Ipads and a laptop (whatever happened to books with pages??).

Can anyone recall if the safe in the room is large enough to accomodate my familes tech addiction? Thanks.

If I remember correctly, the safe will not be large enough for these items. They were built to keep jewelry and small items in them.

Someone here probably knows the dimensions, but they are not very large, probably something like 8" x 10" by 4"????

No, the safes are only a few inches deep and not near big enough for a laptop and I don't think for an ipad.

We were there last month and the safe was not big enough for a laptop or iPad. My mom was able to fit her large wallet inside.

I couldn't really remember. I do know that I usually put my wallet and sometimes our camera in the safe. Other than that, we don't take anything of value on vacation.

I have brought computers and things like that in the past with no problems, but I also don't get mousekeeping. I don't like anyone in my room when I am not there,

If in doubt, store them in the Front Desk Safety Deposit Boxes.

You can also lock them inside your suitcases. That's what we do. We "nest" our suitcases when we're storing them in the room. We put our valuables (when they don't fit in the safe) in the smallest one, and lock all of them leading up to it. It works well. :secret:

And, just so you know, we also stayed at BC CL last year. We brought our netbook and just left it out on the table every day, and we occasionally left my Ipod and DH's Zune out on the bedside table. Something about being on CL made us feel more trusting, I guess.

I've stayed at Port Orleans and Wilderness Lodge and left my Macbook on the table the entire time. I've left it out in other hotels as well. The only thing I do is password protect it so nobody can use it. Suitcases are a good alternative if you want to keep them out of view.

As was mentioned, you can also store them at the front desk.
