Even I know when something is a stretch...I'd be happy with a playoff appearance at this point.

I think I'll make it through. ;) Still too focused on hockey to get deep into baseball right now. And remember, the Braves are my first love.

Even though they aren't doing the best yet, I gotta go with my MN Twins.

I'm so happy that after yet another long, snowy, cold MN winter, I have another summer to look forward too at Target Field!

Red Sox over BravesHeh ... someone was drinking the pre-season Kool-Aid ...

Anyway, my Phils are more than living up to the hype. Our four aces are mowin' 'em like crazy. Halladay and Lee just threw back-to-back complete games, Oswalt is 2-0, Hamels rebounded from a tough first start, the Phils are solidly in control of the NL East (even though it's obviously early), and the Mets and Braves are where they belong ... battling it out for the cellar with sub-.500 records.

Gotta love baseball!!!!

I agree with the last line.

As for the Phils, best be careful about clearing off shelf space for the trophy two weeks into the season. As great as Philly's rotation is supposed to be, the Braves are out-pitching them. Add in Utley, the other fragile members of the team, and Oswalt's sore back, and you are looking at a tenuous hold on first place.

Once the Braves get their bats going, we'll see a tighter race, just like last year, when only major injuries to Prado and Chipper let Philly catch Atl.

I know you want to overlook Lee's game in Atlanta, too. :D

So the Brewers destroyed the Phils a few weeks ago. Hart is off the DL, Grenkie will be starting next week, Axford is starting to make a stab at former teammate Trevor Hoffman's saves record, and Ryan Braun cannot be stopped. I'd say watch out because the road to the series rolls through Milwaukee.:spoiler::baseball:
