More cruise questions.

does anybody know how much it costs to park at the disney parking lot at the port terminal ? also what times does the ship depart & return from port canaveral ? i;m sure i will have more questions. we have not cruised since 2005. thanks in advance !

Parking is $15 per day. The ship leaves port at 5pm, and returns very early, around 5:30~6 am, although generally you can't disembark until 7:30~8 am.

There are also a number of hotels in the Cocoa Beach area that offer stay and cruise rates if you are planning to arrive the night before.

I have a question or two as well. On the crusie do we have to go through the scan machines like at airports and what is not allowed on the ship, ie shampoo, lotions, medicines??? Curious have not cruised since 2006.

You do have to go through a metal detector like at airports and your carryons go through a scanner, but unlike airports, you can carryon your shampoo and such if you wish. You can also carryon liquor.
