Hmmm... I think that even with all the corny jokes I have heard what seems like a million times, it still has to be the Jungle Cruise. I do really enjoy the Maelstrom as well... but the JC wins out. :mickey:

I love maelstrom. I feel that it is a ride that doesn't get enough props. It is a great ride. My vote has to go 2 that.

I voted for SM but it was a hard choice. I had a hard time picking between SM, POTC & JC. They are all great rides.

Hmmm, tough one. Kali & Splash are different from the others in that they are more thrilling & are intended to get you wet.
If I had to choose from the others as far as basic boat rides I'd have to say POTC. But out of the entire list I guess Splash Mountain for overall story line, thrills, fun, etc.
Anyone who's seen Song of the South can appreciate the ride that much more because it takes you through that story almost perfectly.

I voted for Living with the Land. It is so totally different from what we have at Disneyland. Maelstrom would be another vote for us as well.

I chose Living with the Land because that is what Epcot is all about. POTC would have been a close second.

However, the best ride is still the boat ride from the Poly to MK.

I think a lot of people like "It's A Small World" since its a classic, but as their second third or fourth choice, not their favorite. But I am surprised that that many folks prefer "Living with the Land" over Pirates, or Splash Mountain.

Hate it that we can only choose one. Looking over the list, I wish I could choose all of em....except for Tom Sawyer....not much of a boat ride that one. I will say some honorable mentions as far as rides no longer there, should include the Mike Fink Keelboats and I don't remember the exact name they gave it but it was the long canoes that we ourselves could paddle...was able to do the canoe once before they wound up shutting it down and keelboats had done a couple times at least.

This is a tough one. Most of the attractions on the list are our favorites, but I picked Small World for very personal reasons. Small World was Mom's #1 favorite; she fell in love with it the first time at the NY World's Fair in 1965 and got the family hooked on it at WDW.

But, I have to admit that my overall choice isn't on the list. I absolutely love standing on the top deck of the ferry from the TTC to the MK, watching the Castle get closer and closer. :blush:

I didn't think of Jungle Cruise as the same as these others since the captain of the boat so greatly affects the overall feeling of the experience.

As far as pilotless boat rides, I like Pirates of the Caribbean the best.

But the others are fast runners up.

I picked SPlash because it has a great story line and the is still sort of a thrill ride- plus it is one of my ds's favorite rides next would be Small world and then Living with the land.

Have to go with Splash Mountain on this one, although I have to say that MANY of these rides are at or near the top of my list. Something about a good Disney boat ride makes me feel like I'm in heaven :cloud9:

Why I think Splash Mountain is the best:

1) The first minutes of the ride are very calming and offer one of the best views of Cinderella's Castle in all of the Magic Kingdom

2) There's a surprise drop inside the mountain

3) The theming tells the story perfectly

4) It's one of the longest rides in Walt Disney World

5) The dancing waters that shoot over the boats are one of the best effects in any attraction

6) Once you think the ride has ended, you get a grand finale!

They aren't attractions ...but boat ride from OKW to DD. Boat to Ft. Wilderness. Followed by POTC and Living With the Land.

maelstrom!!! I love that ride! I love that it is a little creepy, I love the drop, I love that its not long enough to get boring. That is what I dont like about splash mountain. That ride is TOO long. Im not really a fan of it but the hype brings us to it. I think its over-rated. But we still ride it everytime. I really love the cultural things at epcot and I really wish they would create a boat ride for each country. And seriously, Why doesnt Italy have a boat ride!?!

I love the atmosphere of the Norway ride, Maelstrom. About 2 minutes in, I write a mental note to learn some Norwegian history when I get home, but I never do. (And I'm a historian!)

The Jungle Cruise experience depends upon the Cast Member in the boat with us. Some are able to make the corny jokes that we've heard for years fresh and funny, others ...

I voted for POTC - it's a classic and I'd be disappointed by any trip where I didn't ride it at least once.

It one that I wanted to vote for though was Living with the Land. As someone earlier said - it's what Epcot's all about. I remember riding on Living with the Land when I was a kid - it inspired me to come home and start growing crops hydroponically.

My third choice would easily have been Maelstrom. Perhaps because it's one of the few rides in WS, but it always makes me smile. But then again, I stay for the movie at the end too.
