View Full Version : New Resort Mugs Now Available

A member on another disney site just posted that she witnessed new mugs going on the shelves at POP. The mug has a white background, and it looks like the characters are around a swimming pool. I think I saw Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, and Donald. She also noted that the handles come in pink, yellow, and blue. Not so sure I'm loving this new design, but I know many people were waiting for the arrival of a new mug.

I'm anxious to see pictures of this new mug! Just wondering if it is resort specific or a generic mug that will be offered everywhere? Also wondering if it says anything about the new "Let The Memories Begin" campaign.

Its not resort specific, and I did see some writing, but not sure what it said. I'm sure it has something to do with this year's celebration. "Let the Memories Begin"????

We arrive on Tuesday and this is great news! I miss the resort specific mugs but I was hoping there would be a new design rolled out in time for our trip :mickey:

I've seen the pictures of the new mugs last night. Your info is pretty much right on except Daisy is also pictured on the mug as well.

Bummer! We just left POP on Tuesday! Oh well, guess we'll have to plan another trip soon to get new mugs! :mickey:

That's what I was thinking when I saw the pictures.

So how come Mickey will take his shoes off to jump in the pool but not his gloves and also why does Donald put on swim trunks when he usually doesn't wear any bottoms any other time?

Major improvement over the last two designs!! Too bad we don't have a trip scheduled!! (NO, I am NOT going to book a trip just for the mugs....but it IS a thought!! LOL)

I kinda like the mugs but i don't see my DH carry around these, too girly for him.

The last ones weren't either. I hate the DisneyParks logo!! I want to know what I buy comes from Disney World...:mad:

But I still want the cups...they are really cute!

I was about to say the same thing until I looked at the last two designs...

YOAMD mugs had Cindy's Castle, so were geared to WDW in that way...

"Celebrate You"...had the logos of the 4 parks all over...

This new design, however, is truly generic!!

We are going to WDW in four days! I really don't like the pics of the new mugs. I wish they had primary colors instead of just pastel looking ones.

Thanks for posting the photos. I just made reservations for September (thanks to Wendy at MJ) and I was hoping there'd be a different mug design this year. I already have 4 of the black/red/yellow mug.

Now I have to decide which 2 colors I want. Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!

I like them as well. I am glad they made a change to a new design this year. I am also glad you can see the characters more clearly, so when I'm walking around my office folks will know what type of mug I have without having bionic eyes to identify each tiny figure.

Just checked in at Coronado and they still have the OLD design. so, I guess they haven't rolled them out resort-wide yet.

The mugs are very colorful and, although I like them, I wish they would go back to resort specific mugs. At any rate, we will be getting the mugs when we go.

Looks like it! I checked before we checked out yesterday morning at CSR, and the new mugs have now made their appearance. There was a row of old mugs left, and the rest were the new ones. :thumbsup:

It's about time they came out with the new mugs, I took 3 trips and came back everytime with the last design they had. Needless to say I now have somewhere around 10 mugs in the last design. My wife was excited and sent me a picture of the new mugs in a text message while I was at work. We are now planning to take a trip in October for the F&W festival :wine:, so i think we are going to get the DLX dinning as always so we can get the new mugs and eat way too much as always. Sorry the end got a little :offtopic:
