Where do pin codes come from?

Recently, I have received several e-mails from Disney Destinations, offering WDW discounts. These discounts do not seem too different than other offers I am seeing.
Are these the precious pin codes everyone talks about?

If they have pin codes on them, then, yes. Usually pin codes are discounts offered either before they offer to the general public or during a time not being offered to the general public. The discount itself won't seem to be all that different.

Certainly sounds like it. Personally, I don't ever recall receiving one via e-mail but we certainly received them via snail mail.

We're just the opposite. I don't think I've ever received one via snail mail. All ours are email offers.

I always get them through e-mail. Got a 40% off Deluxe Resorts a few weeks back...

And we get them both ways. Just another one of the mysteries that to which only Disney marketing had the answer. The only sure thing seems to be that you'll get one if you meet the marketing criteria for that promotion and only Disney knows the criteria.

Now I've never received one that was posted for the public on the Walt Disney website. So consider yourselves lucky!

Did you know that you can call the Disney Reservations and ask if there are any pin codes attatched to your name? Just in case you got one but didn't realize it, you can call and ask.
