Feb. 13, 1982 – The Disney TV show “A Disney Valentine” aired.
Feb. 13, 1985 - Mickey Mouse, accompanied by Disneyland’s Ambassador Melissa Taylor, began a 30 day flight around the world celebrating Disneyland’s 30th anniversary.
Feb. 13, 1987 – The Disney TV special “Disney’s DTV Doggone Valentine” aired on NBC.
Feb. 13, 1988 – The “Expo Robotics” demonstration opened in CommuniCore West at Epcot. (Closed Oct. 3, 1993)
Feb. 13, 1993 – The “Lumiere’s Kitchen” fast-food facility opened in Fantasyland in the Magic Kingdom at WDW.
Feb. 13, 1996 - Test Track Preview Center opened at the World of Motion Pavilion.
Feb. 13, 1998 – The Atlanta Braves reported for their 1st Spring Training Season at Disney’s Wide World of Sports complex.
Feb. 13, 1998 - Animator Jules Engels, who worked on Disney’s Fantasia, was awarded the “Friz” lifetime achievement award for animation at the 1998 Santa Clarita International Film Festival.
Feb. 13, 1999 – “Winnie the Pooh, a Valentine for You” aired on ABC-TV.
Feb. 13, 1999 – Michael Weiss won the men’s national title at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships, skating to music from “Mulan.”
