2nd week of August good/bad choice??

We're going the 7th through the 11th. Didn't decide to go til after the free dining offer was over. We're hoping to miss some crowds due to many coming the following week for the dicounted rooms. Any thoughts. Is anything else going on that week I should know about??? Really don't like to go in the summer. Prefer late September. Low crowds. But going with kids this time and can't miss school ( or football practice)

:mickey:We were there last year at the same time celebrating our anniversary. Can't remember anything special going on and as long as you are prepared for the heat and humidity you will have a great time. Just stay hydrated!

It's hot, humid, and crowded although the crowds are starting to lessen a bit. There are no events taking place at that time.

We've been there a few times during that week. The next week the crowds really taper off. Your week will be busy but not as bad as July. Get to the parks to use fastpass and avoid the heat.

Buy everyone some Froggtoggs or a similar device to keep everyone cool, and like other posts noted-- hydrate constantly.
