Taking my wife to Le Celier for anniversary. What dishes do you recommend?

Love this restaurant! The best burger I ever had I got there. Their cheese soup is wonderful and they have these pretzel bread sticks which are awesome!:mickey:

When are you going? This establishment will change to a 2 table service restaurant on March 1 and there is some conjecture that might accompany a change in menu.

I just want to get a reservation there. Just booked a trip for 2 - 18 May and no vacancies. Will keep trying as you never know.

I knew about the change, but we've heard so many good things about it that we decided to go anyway. We we be there on the 8th. Thank you though for the heads up!

This is easy:

Mushroom Filet
Cheddar Cheese Soup
Maple Creme Brulee

Went yesterday and had the potato gnocchi and wasn't impressed. Everything else I had (pretzel breadsticks, cheddar cheese soup and maple cream brulee) was excellent! Next time I'll stick with the filet, which I've had in the past and was wonderful.

Yes, but I believe the portion is smaller.

Yes the filet is available for lunch but is a bit smaller. Still is the best thing on the menu! I literally licked my plate clean the last two visits!

And now I am wanting some risotto... :(

I'm quite interested in seeing the new menu. From what i've heard it will offer more exotic fare such as venison.

I kept trying and managed to get lunch reservation at 2:45 16 May 2011. There was actually also an opening 7 May for lunch, which would have been perfect also as that is our anniversary, but I wanted to keep our original anniversary ADR for dinner at Via Napoli. A late lunch at Le Cellier will be just perfect for us. Hope it is a good as everyone says.:mickey: I am leaning towards cheese soup followed by the lunch filet mignon. For dessert chocolate "Moose" as I don't like maple flavour or Campfire S'Mores.

Just got back from WDW and once again loved Le Cellier. My wife always gets the Filet with Risotto. I got that on my last trip, so I decided to go with something different. And it was the best call of my trip. I had the New York Strip - it was amazing. Covered in a salty butter sause, it was probably one of the 3 best steaks I've ever had.

My husband I both had the New York Strip too and you are right...it was excellent! Best steak I have ever had! Had planned to go back on our next trip but not so sure we will do that if it is 2 table service credits.

Another vote for the Filet but I always substitute the risotto with the cream cheese mashed potatoes! They are the best I've ever had! Also, if they still have it, we love the appetizer trio for 2. The tomato stack, lump crab and Cheddar Cheese soup gets you a little bit of everything delicious!
