I didnt relize we had book this resort during mardi gras.Anyone stayed during this week? We chose this resort because of all the posts about how quiet it is.Please tell me its not going to turn into burbon st. so i dont have to switch resorts.:confused:

LOL I am not sure if they celebrate Mardi Gras at POR. But as a New Orleanian I highly doubt it will turn into Bourbon Street or anything like it. I do know a LOT of people from here go during that week so it may be crowded.

Probably the worst that would happen is that they'd throw a few more strands of beads at you in the gift shop!:woohoo::party2:

Nothing unusual happens at POFQ during Mardi Gras. I remember one year they had a special Mardi Gras buffet dinner going on, but that's it.

1) As mentioned above, it is not a big thing.
2) They do add few more
. . . bead neklaces
. . . plastics coins
3) Only Universal makes a big thing out of Mardi Gras.
. . . every Saturday night
. . . big concerts with famous performers
. . . parades

NOTE: Disney did try to celebrate Mardi Gras at Pleasure Island for a while, but got so out done by Universal that they could not compete and stopped it.
