I wonder if there will be any free dining offers this year? I know that there were some before the end of Dec. for this year but we has already booked for Dec. and I wasn't thinking of another trip until now...We haven't even been back a month and I am ready to plan for the next one...The room discount that is out right now doesn't do much for me since there are 5 of us and 4 are considered adults...

We are a family of 4 and all adults. We are going with the room discount in Sept. I believe it will save us more than the free dining.

You must be staying Deluxe or greater then. Figure 4 times $40 (a little low for price of DDP, but just to give ballpark figure) vs. % off room rate.....You would have to save over $160 per night on the room to make it worthwhile for one room anywhere.

You must be staying Deluxe or greater then.By my unofficial calculation based on # of rooms, on average, 40% of the guests are staying in a deluxe. Therefore, I would guess 40% of Intercotees also stay deluxe. :D

Free dining dates have been announced through September 29, 2001.

Are you looking for something for 4th quarter?

In KennyandKim's defense, the dining is only a cost saver if you can actually eat that much and only at Disney restaurants. I can usually get a room only discount and still save more, even at moderate and value resorts.

Moving this over to Accommodations.. hang on to your ears!

Yes we are staying Deluxe. In fact we are staying Club level. The Dining plan costs us 184.00 a day. Some days we may not eat that much but other days we would based on where we will eat. I used the dining plan estimator found on this site to see if we could save money paying out of pocket. I just decided if we did it would be very little and not having to worry about how much we have for food I would rather just go with the DDP. If you use the DDP estimator it will help you a great deal in deciding if its for you.
