Man, the number of people picking the Packers this weekend is just shocking to me. I don't know how they got so overrated and how people are giving Atlanta so little credit.

Does everyone realize that Matt Ryan and the Falcons are like 20-2 playing at home in their last 22 games???

And that the Falcons went 13-3 during the regular season, making them the second best team in the entire NFL? Including a win against the Packers? And that they outscored opponents by a combined 414-288?

I don't get all the love for the Packers. They're a decent team, but come on ... people are picking them to go to the Super Bowl, which I think is a complete joke. I think Atlanta is one of the biggest locks of the weekend, outside of New England.

No Cheese Head for you Ian???

I'm thinking that no one gets the Power of the Falcons. That's why I was so hoping to see Vick and the Eagles play there.
Green Bay is solid, but will they beat the Falcons?

Not saying too too much about the JETS. They are "my" team, and I'm going to get Green and Loud, and we'll just leave it at that. They HAVE to play the game of their life!! Not sure how much more of their last minute drives my heart can take anyway...

One of the main reasons why nobody gives respect to the Falcons is because they do absolutely NOTHING special whatsoever. They have solid fundamentals, and that's what wins them games. They move the ball up and down the field pounding the football with Turned and Snelling, dumping passes off to Gonzo, and the occasional long bomb to White who does his thing. They are one of those teams where if you get bored watching football easily, you will get bored watching them.

I wanted to see that Vick against the Falcons rematch as well. We got our behind's handed to us the last time we played them this year so that would have been a fun game. At least I have some people coming with me on the Seattle bandwagon!

The funny thing is, when I don't cheer for the Falcons I'm a Green Bay fan-I like to watch Rogers and I think they are a solid team but I too am shocked at how many people are picking Green Bay...

Should be a good Saturday night game-I'm ready!

All I know is that vaunted Packers offense could only manage a relatively meager 21 points against a pathetic Eagles defense.

21 points ain't gonna get it done against the Falcons.

And this alleged new-found running game the Packers have developed had a lot more to do with the fact that the Eagles defense is a joke than it did with the Packers actually figuring out how to run the ball.

I think the Falcons win this game by double digits.

I'm trying to think back to when I was making the picks and why I picked Green Bay and it came down to this.

I decided 3 of the 4 home teams would win and 1 would lose. This was the most likely one based on the matchups. Of course I can say this as I watch the game and GB is up 21 but I think I liked it best because of Green Bay's defense and how they've played the last month or so.

That's the reason why nobody gave any respect to Atlanta. Their back 7 are just pathetic, they've been that way the entire year. It's just that it's been covered up by ball control. But when you make stupid mistakes on offense, and can't do a thing on defense (SACK RODGERS!!!!!!!!!!), this is what happens. 28 points down with still 20 minutes left...They've never had a good secondary, and they NEVER will...

I had a bad feeling about playing Green Bay over Seattle, and this is why...

Ughh. Go Pack Go?

Man that was pathetic. Ian we called that one wrong. What night for the Falcons to lay a giant goose egg.

Well first off Janet, welcome to the official "Our Season Was Ended By the Packers" club. I'm a charter member.

Second, yeah ... I clearly know nothing about the NFL anymore. Every single, solitary meaningful trend in this game was going against the Packers. NFC playoff teams with first round byes are like 18-3 in their last 21 first round games. Matt Ryan is 6-0 against the NFC North. Aaron Rodgers is 1-5 against the NFC South.

It just went on and on ... blah. Oh well. At least I didn't lay any cash on the game.

At least New England lost, I don't feel as sad as I was yesterday.

I got every game this week wrong but I got my points within one point. Now THAT'S some skill :D
