We are flying to Disney for the first time since 2006. Has anyone had experiences taking pin lanyards through airport security. I have three boys and we are not planning to check any bags - short trip, staying in DVC accommodations so I can do laundry. Thanks for any input.

We just went in December with 2 pin books full of pins. No problem at all. They didn't even ask to see them. It was the same on our return flight.

We carried on our luggage on our last flight to WDW in September. No problems with pins at all.

I had packed out away in our checked in luggage but TSA (in MCO) told me that it would have been fine to bring them onboard in the carry on.

My daughter and niece both had their lanyards in their carry-on bags --- no problems.

I always put my lanyard and any pin purchases in my carry-on bag. No problems with security ever in the 10+ years I have been collecting pins.

The only time there was even a second look was when I purchased a framed pin set. The person running the scanner must not have known what it was right away, so they sent my bag back and forth under the scanner, but then sent it through - they never even opened the bag.

Thanks - I feel better! I didn't want to lose them or cause further delays! Flying is such a pain compared to the family van!
