How is Teppan Edo?

In making my dining reservations for a party of 18(11 kids, 7 adults) the specialist suggested Teppan Edo in Epcot, Japan. Has anyone tried this? I typically enjoy Japanese steakhouses. How does this rate?

This was my first experience at a Japanese steakhouse and I LOVED it. So much fun- very good food. I am a somewhat picky eater too. My Ds7 loved it a lot too- this a new must for us. Friends that were with us who have been to more steakhouse loved it too. Good luck.

It's on par (not better or worse) with other Japanese steakhouse experiences of mine. True that if you're at WDW, you might want to experience something that you won't find somewhere else and if you have been to a place like this, it won't be much different. But I still love it and think it's a fun place for a good meal.

We hadn't been in a while and booked it at the last minute on a trip in the last year or two (after cancelling the reservations we had originally made for that eveing). Food and service were both good. What made the meal for us, though, were the lovely people with whom we shared our table. With such a large party, you'd be unlikely to share your table with anyone other than members of your immediate party.

We have been there three times and enjoyed it each time. The portions are smaller and more expensive than what we get at home but it was still enough to make me not want dessert.

It's Yummy!!:eat: Now as far as the chef goes it depends on who you get. Our chef wasn't as active as the others so it was kinda boring. We had more fun watching the chef behind us. I would definitely go though its a great experience.

Absolutely one of our favorites. The food is very good and we've had great experiences with the chefs and the service. 2 years ago, we had a party of 21 and went there. Each room in Teppan Edo has 4 grills/tables, each seating approx 10 people. So your group will probably be like ours - in the same room but divided between 2 of the tables. It worked out great for us - we had a great evening. Enjoy!
