Mugs for 2011

We are leaving in 8 days and I am curious what the new mugs look like? Has anyone seen them yet?

I'm not sure what the 2010 mugs looked like and these may still be from 2010 but the ones we got on 1/1/11 is red with either yellow, black or red handle. It has Mickey, Pluto, Goofy, Minnie and Donald on it and says "Celebrate Today! Disney Parks"

Are these the mostly blue & white cups with the gang on the front, and then the handles/lids are different colours? I have one with a blue handle/lid and one with a black handle/lid. Mine are a couple of years old (from maybe early 2009) so I'm hoping this time they're something different.

Remember the days of the mug actually saying something about the RESORT you're at? We still have old Wilderness Lodge & Pop Century & All Star Mugs from waaaay back!

I think the past few years they kept the same mug design for about 2 years. 2010 was the second year for the current mug design. I'm hoping they get new ones for 2011. If I remember correctly it wasn't till around the end of Jan., maybe early Feb. before the new design came out last time. If there isn't a new design we won't be getting them on our upcoming trip. We already have way too many of this particular mug.

I think they should make the new cups with a semi-clear removable collar that would have the different park logos in a light - see through - color with something like "Making Memories" around the base...Then you could remove the collar, put your own photos inside and have a great momento of your trip!!!!

Oh well. The past couple of years we've stayed at Ft. Wilderness (no mug program offered there) so I don't have the red ones yet. I guess if they're still offering those in February, they'll be new to me! :thumbsup:

I think that you can get the mugs at Trail's end--but you can't use it when you're dining there. I haven't been to the fort in few years, but I know that's how it worked in the past.

Just did a little research, and trails end is open from 730-930...so...you can refill your mug anytime you like within that timeframe :thumbsup:

Just checked my collection and the last one I have is from 2009...red with characters. Hope they change it before my next trip in May!

Well, they did change mugs from 2009 to 2010 What they changed was the style of the mug. There is no white on the bottom third of the mug, the design goes all the way to the bottom. It's the same design, just more of it.

The mugs we purchased in June of 2009 and July of 2010 at WL are identical - no shape or design change whatsoever. I miss the resort-exclusive mugs we used to get!

Actually, the mug design was changed to the full design later in 2009. I now have 4 mugs of the same design (2 from 2009 and 2 from 2010), as well as 6 of the blue/white mugs from the previous years.

I really am hoping for a different design this year. Like many others, I'm really wishing they'd go back to resort-specific mugs. :crazy:

We were lucky that we were able to get a CSR mug in 2009. Last year we got four of the red mugs at POR, but in 2008 received the white and blue one. We were told that the CSR mugs we go were some of the last from our waitress in the Pepper Market. I would have loved the opportunity to see some of the older designs. IMO, there are somethings that are not worth cutting if we are to continue to pay above market value for our stay at WDW.
