Southern California discounts

Hey all!
I'm headed to Disneyland tomorrow (in the pouring rain) with some friends. I have an annual pass and they are going to buy 1 day park hopper tickets. They believe they can get a 1 day hopper for the price of a 1 day single park ticket because they are so cal residents. I have never heard of this. Any truth? Any other discount recommendations?

the 2 for discount is good for SoCal residents, but not during the holidays -- it's normally something Disney runs in late summer -- you can check for those specials on their website. It's rare to find a discount on 1 or 2 day tickets ... have fun!
