a couple of mid march questions please

hi,

dw and I have done september 5 times and july once.

we love the waterpark and beach weather but wife wants to try a different time of year to escape the blistering heat and humidity.

we could do february but don`t want to risk it being too cold.

If we tried mid march would weather likely be comfortable?

also would crowds be as bad as in july?

when we went in july we used fastpasses and extra evening hours and didn`t find crowds to be too bad.:mickey:

Given that next year Easter is late in April, mid-March would probably be manageable for you - particularly if you can deal with July crowds!

Spring Break here is 2nd Week of March. We seem to be in the minority. Canada and about
25% of US have it then. The BIG week is the 3rd week in March. Easter is another common Spring Break time. We moved out of March and Easter when we could, it was too much. The weather then is OK. Swimming was possible some warmer days.:mickey:

March weather and crowds are quite variable. You can have highs in the 80's and even hit 90 degress. Or it can be downright chilly, with the high around 60 and lows in the 40's. Normally, this is a comfortable time to visit, with low humidity. But it may or may not be swimming weather.

Crowds vary too. Spring Break brings huge crowds. But this year, with Easter being so late, chances are that March crowds will be lower than average. But that may be as hard to predict as the weather.

We visited in March 2009 and March 2008. One the first week of the month and the seond week. The first week of March was perfect weather, slightly cool in the evening but crowds weren't bad at all. The second week was more crowded and cooler. Still the crowds were manageable on both trips.

March is still one of those months where the weather is unpredictable. We went nearly 2 yrs ago in March (second week) and the weather was beautiful - upper 70's by day and low to mid 60's at night. However, friends went the week before and froze with temps in the 50's. Crowd levels were very good.
