Travel time from DL to LAX

We have a flight 12:50 pm on a Wednesday. We were planning on leaving at 10 that morning from DL. Will that give us plenty of time to get to the airport and go through security?

It's about an hour travel time without traffic. I would plan on being at the airport at least 2 hours early. The security lines can be a nightmare at peak hours at LAX.

I'd have to agree with Carol. That may be cutting it a little close. Also, what mode of transportation are you using? If you are returning a rental car that also takes time as at LAX the rental car lot requires a shuttle, unless thats changed since 2007.
