Better late than never!!!
Most of you know of the once of a lifetime opportunity our family had over the summer. 3 almost back to back Disney trips. First WDW, then DL, then WDW again. All thanks to my husbands job. I promised trip reports, and here goes! They won't be my usual blow by blow reports though...These trips meant we were on Disney property for almost a total of one month. It would be impossible to document it all, as I usually do. Instead..some highlights of each trip. We celebrated Stevens BD on our first trip, and Mine and Kai's on our third!
First! WDW. Polynesian, Garden View Club level. We were offered an upgrade to Lagoon View Club, we declined as that room was on the second floor, and we strongly prefer ground floor. The Polynesian stay was wonderful. Again, our home away from home. We always begin with a pic in front of our "favorite" palm tree.http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0cc30b3127ccefb83f0ab534600000030O00AbuGzdu3YuW IPbz4c/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ Highlights of this trip began with the Segway tour Katie (age 16) and I took on our first full day in the World. This was a hoot, an absolute BLAST!!! http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0ce04b3127ccefb266b18511400000040O00AbuGzdu3YuW IPbz4c/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D720/ry%3D480/ We loved every minute of this tour, our tourmates were an older couple celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary, and another couple from Louisiana. We all got along so well together and shared a wonderful morning feeling like we had Epcot all to ourselves! We toured World Showcase before it opened and it was as good as it sounds. Other highlights of this trip was tea with my girls at the GF..http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0ce04b3127ccefb27dbe3f0cb00000050O00AbuGzdu3YuW IPbz4c/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/ We enjoyed the fruit and cheese plate, Sally Lunn bread, and pastries. The Mad Hatter Tea was delicious! New places tried on this trip were Kouzzina...and Tusker House for dinner. Two extremes for us...We loved Tusker House, loved it!! So many unique, spicy choices...We would not return to Kouzzina though. It lacked something, it wasn't as interesting as we expected. Food was just Ok...We did our usual Ohana's and Crystal Palace and Konas too. And of course, no trip is complete without some lizard hunting.http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0cc30b3127ccefb820dd1339600000030O00AbuGzdu3YuW IPbz4c/cC/f%3D0/ps%3D50/r%3D0/rx%3D550/ry%3D400/
The heat was not unbearable this trip, and we hit all four parks with our hoppers. We knew we had alot more Disney ahead of us so we didn't push ourselves. We managed to do all we wanted during these 7 days. The magic was there during our whole stay!
