Anyone had the Lap Band surgery and then gone to Disney? I need to know how long to give myself to heal before my trip and how did it effect your dining while there?

I had The Sleeve which is more invasive than the Lap Band. I'm 3 months Post-Op and I'm doing just fine. Looking back....I'd give yourself a few months.

Bostonsam:

LAP BAND - where they put the device in your stomach to close it off and then put in more saline in the port.

GASTRIC BYPASS - just what it says. It reroutes your stomach/digestive tract.

THE SLEEVE - they cut out a % of your stomach. Usually between 70-80%. It ends up the shape of a sleeve (or banana).

Lowest risk: The Sleeve. It's the favorite surgery of most Bariatric Doctor's. I've been very pleased. Just at 3 months and have lost over 50 pounds. Would I do it again? .....absolutely.
