There IS Hope - Getting your first choice ADRs

After spilling the beans of a surprise trip for our boys - 30 days out from our trip - my oldest son said, "We ARE going to Coral Reef to eat, right?"

Oh. No. I'd forgotten what an impression that restaurant had made. So I immediately tried to get ressies. No such luck. I have tried every single day since (for the past 23 days) to get an ADR at Coral Reef and have struck out every day, sometimes 3 and 4 times a day.

Apparently, 23 days of checking has paid off! I got the ADR tonight!

I'm here to tell you to keep trying. You can get the ADRs of your choice with persistance!

Congrats. I tried every day for LeCellier for a couple of months before I was able to get an ADR for our December trip!!

I keep hoping for a dinner ressie at Le Cellier, but so far, no luck. I keep trying, though. Maybe you'll give me luck - I better check right now.

I just got 2 more ADRs for March no problem. We are a party of 8, so I was happy.

The morale of the story is....never give up hope! Something may still open up - even at the last moment!

And on a related note... if you decide last minute to change your plans for the day and NOT eat at a certain restaurant you originally reserved, don't just not show up. Be courteous and cancel the ressie so others can take advantage. :thumbsup:

166 days out and we got everything we wanted! :blush: LOL!

We did panic a bit when we realized we were making ressies after the 180 day time frame.
